Mumtaz Mufti is the writer of Alakh Nagri. The author of the book was one of the greatest writers of Urdu language and wrote some quality books. He started his career as a writer with a travelogue Labbaik. He was a close friend of Qudratullah Shahab and Ashfaq Ahmed. Mumtaz Mufti influenced by both of the personalities regarding their beliefs in Sufism. He often met to Hazrat Wasif Ali Wasif, another Sufi of the modern age. During the regime of Ayyub Khan, Mumtaz Mufti traveled for Hajj along with Qudratullah Shah. There he saw something unbelievable and he much impressed by Qudratullah Shahab. After this journey, Mumtaz Mufti started to say to Qudratullah a saint and Sufi Baba.
