Don't like the app picker interface in Jelly Bean? Have you installed multiple browsers or other "duplicate" apps and want to be able to choose which one to run each time, with just one tap? Tired of having to tap two times to start your third party apps? App Picker Classic solves that problem by creating a UI similar to the one in ICS where you only have to tap once to select the preferred application.
Works with the following intents:1. Web links2. Mailto links3. Images, videos and audio4. Sms and mms5. Launcher6. Word/Excel/PowerPoint7. PDF-documents8. Chooser/share9. Contacts
In addition, the app resolves some common short URLs like t.co, bit.ly and goo.gl, taking you directly to the app of your choice, for instance Instagram, Google Play or YouTube. Fallback to native app picker if you haven't picked a default yet.
If you have app choices that are currently hidden - maybe you chose "Always" by accident once, but you'd like to be able to reinstate the app and choose each time - then reset these by clearing the defaults in the application manager of your phone/tablet.
Please send me an email if you have any ideas how to improve the app. Big thanks for all the feedback received so far!
