AppServ is an alternative to installing Apache, PHP, or MySQL which take a lot of configuration and time to setup. The objective of Appserv is to setup a web server or database in just a few minutes. We recommend that you use Linux/Unix OS to run this program because of the heavy work load on the server although it can be run just as easily in Windows. The difference is that Windows can handle 1000 users per second but Linux/Unix can handle the same amount but without hardly consuming any of your CPU's processing power.
