BerBible is simplified Bible freeware oriented to non-techies (such as children, missionaries, seniors, etc.) The learning curve is trivial because only the essentials are shown on the initial layout:
- go directly to a specific verse
- search for verses with specified word(s)
The small 'StarterKit' download includes the program, full World English Bible (WEB) with OT & NT, and extensive documentation (including Context Sensitive Help, Hover-Tool-Tips, Tip-of-the-Day, F1 HtmlHelp, several FAQ's, e-support, and 100+ step tutorial oriented to less experienced users).
Even on dinosaur computers, it gets started in less than one second. Word/phrase searching is very fast and flexible to find what you are looking for. An animated slideshow is available to show basic features.
BerBible works great on Lowest Common Denominator computers that are too obsolete for fuller featured Bible software to be practical. It doesn't assume the end-user has a high res monitor and latest hardware. BerBible is very usable even with Pentium-233, Win95, and VGA 640*480 res. Its small download size is optimized for people with a slow, unreliable, and/or expensive Internet connection.
