This application is designed for Sri Lanka
The application will perform coordinate transformation to project Geographic coordinates to Cartesian coordinates that suits Sri Lanka. It supports both KANDAWALA EPSG:4244 and SLD99 EPSG:5233 datums.
Main goal of this application is to be a replacement for dedicated handheld GPS receivers and to reduce cost on spatial information gathering activities within Sri Lanka.
Datum transformation: + 3 parameter Molodensky (for KANDAWALA EPSG:4244) + 7 parameter Helmert (for SLD99 EPSG:5233)
Projection: + Transverse Mercator
Back projection (Cartesian coordinate to Geographic WGS84 latitude/longitude) is also supported via Coordinate Converter. This application may become handy for users working with Sri Lanka Survey department maps and relevant coordinate systems.
