Presently the company offers the following services to the customers via the extensive network of Optical fibers
Analog CATV - This is the traditional CATV services which can be received directly on the TV sets. The company serves about 90 analog channels from various headed located in its area of operation. However the Analog business model is not foreseen in the long term future due to its inherent limitations. This model suffers from lack of addressability and fragmentation. Due to these reasons DL GTPL has proactively set out the digitization of the network and building a business model around digital CATV delivery.
Digital CATV - This is the state of the art Digital service offered by the company. At present the company is running 3 digital headends - Surat, Nandurbar and Dhule. These headends serve more than 300 digital channels to the network. The headend at Surat has beee upgraded to 500 channels. The company has implemented high end systems from several international vendors viz. Sumavision, Skyworth, Inhe & Upass for setting up of these headends.
The company offers Set Top Boxes and smart cards essential for viewing the service under various schemes. The Digital model will help in organizing and structuring the business model by allowing addressability through CAS.
The digital CATV system allows us to deliver many value added service for the customer. Notable amongst these is the digital EPG already implemented in our digital system which brings a revolutionary change in the way customers experience surfing channels. The system is also geared up for the the delivery of Video on Demand (VoD) and other services in near future.
Broadband Internet Services - The Company provides internet services to its subscribers by using fiber optic network. Broadband services don't need to go through a lengthy connection process. Instead, they offer a continuous persistent connection to the Internet. As per the directives received from TRAI all broadband connections are served at a minimum of 256kbps speed.
