Only running apps Be more productive without the distraction of non-running application icons in the dock. Why do we need to see the icons of apps that are not in use? Dockter gets out of the way by even removing itself from the dock after it has done its thing. Launching apps? How to launch applications with this minimal dock? Commandline? No. Luckily there are good alternative launchers that do not clutter the screen. There’s plenty of options available for free, Spotlight, Google Desktop Search, QuickSilver or my personal favorite Sapiens which is not free but worth the investment...etc. Simple to use While you can accomplish the same thing running by typing commands in the the Terminal, Dockter is just a 1 click app. Dockter simply toggles a build in but hidden preference of Mac OS X Leopard. Running Dockter again reverses the previous process. So it''s easy to undo the effect and restore the dock.
