Magic Dodecahedron is a variant of Rubik's Cube, widely known as Megaminx. This application is a 3D model of Megaminx with 12 colors, which supports Meffert's Color Scheme, MF8's Color Scheme and User Defined Color Scheme.
You can try to solve the puzzle by flicking color pieces which will trigger layer moves. You can change the angle of view by swiping in the black area. Solutions can be saved to internal SD card and can be shared with other players.
A distinguish feature of this application is it is able to solve the puzzle from any position using two methods: "Layer By Layer" and "Keyhole". Both methods solve the puzzle in about 240 moves. When a solution is being viewed, the next 3 moves will be graphically displayed and targeted cubelets will be highlighted.
You can also paint the puzzle to match the colors on your real Megaminx and then ask the application to solve it. You will be able to restore your Megaminx by executing the solution sequence.
80 exercises are designed for beginners, all with solutions. Each exercise aims to fix just a few pieces. They literally teach you how to solve the Megaminx progressively using the "Layer By Layer" method.
If you are an experience solver, you can the "Formula Builder" to build your formulas and show them to your friends.
