ABOUT Active Software Tutor
The Software Tutor will allow you to record and play back training instructions that guide people around any program or website to show them what to do next. Training courses can be easily recorded by simply selecting a pointer graphic, dragging it into the correct position, entering the text, setting the pause duration, adding a sound file, then pressing save. Repeat this for every step in the sequence then let others play it back. The Active Tutor software trainer is essentially a small utility that sits over any application and moves around the screen and shows and/or tells the user what to do next. It is incredibly quick and simple to record each training module but the final result is far better than a simple video demonstration because they actually show you what to do while you are using the program. It can even interact with the other software to make sure that you are always at the correct point. Pressing the forward and backward arrow keys in the program or on your keyboard will allow you to work at your own speed or go back over sections you did not understand at first. In fact, the best a human trainer can do is show the user what to push next and explain why.
