ABOUT AL BURDA ( Islam Quran Hadith )
QASIDA AL-BURDA English Translation of the world reknowned Al-Burda, also called Qasida Burda(Poem of the Cloack), is an Arabic poem honouring the Prophet Muhammad(SallalaHu Alayhi Wa Sallam). There is no single poem in the whole history of time that has been translated in so many languages, recited in virtually every part of world where muslims reside, translated no for just the elite but for the common folks who expressed their love and reverence for the Last Messenger of Allah(SallalaHu Alayhi Wa Sallam)in turn seeking the grace, bounty and mercy from Allah(SubhanaHu Wa Ta'la). It was written in the 11th century by Imam al-Busiri and forms part of a vast body of literature in praise of the Prophet that emerged from an Islamic culture where seeking knowledge of him was encouraged. Imam Al-Busiri both acknowledges this and the shortcomings of describing the Prophet in the poem itself. The Burda was also engraved on the Prophet's mosque in Madina. There it adorned its walls and reminded believers for centuries before being erased by people who could not comprehend it. There is still one line left that has not been removed.
