This app comes with Facial Detection and Facial Recognition technology to detect and identify a person. Bionic-Eye uses the iPhone's video camera to capture people s faces in real time and detect the identity of the person. The more you use Bionic-Eye the better the facial recognition algorithm becomes. This app also comes with the ability to capture GPS heading information, latitude and longitude data capturing capabilities, reverse geo-coding location detection. Bionic-Eye has up to 6 different video lenses to choose from to give you that Cyborg/Terminator video screen effect. Database Training: ---------------------------------------------- Bionic-Eye requires a locally trained database of known faces in order to recognize a face. It's advised to have a minimum of 12 different faces for each person. The more faces added to a profile the better the recognition results and accuracy. Bionic-Eye uses an internal algorithm to detect and recognize the subject against a database of know faces. Its best to capture subjects under various lighting conditions backgrounds e.t.c. Also make sure you capture faces without sunglasses hats or anything that may obstruct the face. Facial Recognition system: A facial recognition system is a computer application for automatically identifying or verifying a person from a digital image or a video frame from a video source. The Recognition algorithm used by Bionic-Eye is a combination of two main approaches of geometric and photometric techniques for image comparisons. It also uses facial metrics to assist in identifying a match. Bionic-Eye can produce the occasional false positive, however by increasing the number of faces assigned to a profile the frequency of these errors can be reduced. When Bionic-eye detects a face it assigns a confidence value to the Match found.
