The bit rate (or bit depth or sample resolution) can be set at either 8- or 16-bits per sample. Files can be recorded in mono or stereo. Save as WAV or MP3, enter ID3 Tag information such as Artist Name, Song Title, Album Title, Genre, etc. Plug in a mic to record voices or acoustic performances, connect a tape deck or turntable to the line input on your sound card, record streaming audio, record the output of a software MIDI wavetable synthesizer. Open any prerecorded WAV and MP3 files and edit with cut, copy, paste, crop, mute, trim silence, add silence, a 10 band stereo equalizer, and 11 effects: Amplify, Chorus, Echo, Equalize, Fade In, Fade Out, Flange, Mix Files, Normalize, Reverse, and Sound Warmer. Edit and record both stereo and single-channel audio. Most effects can be applied to both channels of stereo audio, or each channel separately. Wave Creator's functions can be accessed from the Menus at the top of the screen or with keyboard shortcuts. Onscreen sliders control the recording and playback volume and pan, or relative balance, of stereo tracks. Twin columns of LEDs indicate the playback and recording volume levels. At the top of each column is a 'clipping' indicator. These indicators flash red when a signal exceeds the maximum signal level that can be handled by your sound card. The waveform display panel visually displays the audio file, giving you a graphical view of your audio. The waveform display window is your primary tool for making selections, applying effects, monitoring playback, and interacting with your wave file in general. Wave Creator was designed to be easy to use, and it comes with free lifetime email tech support.
