ABOUT Hourly chime PRO
Migration notice. These days we all get more powerful smartphones while battery capacity doesn't change. So some device manufacturers add their own battery optimizations that totally ignore Android system battery settings. On some devices even if user turned off all device manufacturer battery optimizations (which he isn't even aware of so he blames developer for not working app) this app worked with delay or didn't work at all. Some time ago we discovered that some device manufacturers use not too smart battery optimization solution - it turned out that if we add magical keyword "alarmclock" to so called 'application package name' then app always works properly - sometimes even without turning off any battery optimizations for it. Unfortunately that results in releasing new app as each application has it's own unique 'package name'. We have decided to take that step as we get bad ratings while this is not really our fault. You can find "new" app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.caynax.hourlychime.alarmclock.pro User simply wants to download app and use it and he can't because device manufacturer stops app process after some time to save battery. Most users aren't aware of (additional) battery settings. On some devices they are available in different places so turning them off requires user engagement and it's faster to simply remove "not working app". Even after making all battery changes when it comes to some device manufacturers our app still didn't work. Until making that "alarmclock" change. Google allows us to generate 500 promotional codes each 3 months so that we can slowly start migrating users who have problems on their devices to this "new/v2" app version which is to be honest exactly the same app as "old" app version and differs only in 'package name'. Until most users migrate to this "new" app version "old" app will still be available to download but it will have higher price set so that current users could still download and update it while new users could start with "new" version. We are very sorry for any inconvenience.
