MoveOnBoot is a simple free utility that helps you to manage locked file system resources. It allows you to rename, move or delete any file and folder, locked by system or another application. MoveOnBoot doesn't terminate processes that hold locks, to unlock resources. Instead, it utilizes a much safer approach - it uses standard Windows mechanism for file system resources management immediately after the system restart, but before launching services and applications. This approach prevents resources locking by system processes and applications, so they can be renames, moved or deleted with no problems. Application provides an easy-to-use interface for the real one-click management of locked resources. Using it, you can schedule delete, move and rename operations with selected locked files and folders to be executed at the next system restart. This simple tool can save you from struggling with Access Denied errors when you try to operate with locked resources. It can be used when you need to update locked system resources or cleanup from viruses, that lock themselves to prevent from deletion, as well as in any case, when you need to delete, move or rename locked files and folders.
