She is capable of using Aera magic,[ch. 135] and the ability of precognition allows her to see visions of future locations and events, inheriting her precognitive powers from her mother Chagot; however, Carla is unaware of her family ties. She is evacuated from Edolas to Earth-land as an egg after Chagot has a vision of their realm's destruction; the objective is concealed as a mission to kill Dragon Slayers.
