Please note, you must be running a kernel that supports USB fast charge, otherwise, you will be unable to toggle the widget into the 'enabled' state. Root is also required in order for the widget to gain permission to modify the underlying configuration file. Tested on Franco Kernel for Nexus 4, Jelly Bean/KitKat 4.2.2+. USB fast charge allows you to charge your phone (provided your USB port supports it), at the same rate in which the phone is charged when connected directly to your power outlet. By default, most phones, when rebooted, start out in a state with the fast charge configuration flag disabled. This widget will allow you to quickly recognize when / if fast USB charge has been disabled, and re-enable directly from your home screen (or disable). No more fussing with start-up scripts or launching additional applications to enable this feature. Fast USB Charge Widget has been designed to take up minimal real estate on your home screen (1x1 widget). Before enabling fast USB mode, disconnect your phone from its USB cable, toggle the 'Fast USB' widget to 'enabled' mode (will light up green) and wait a few seconds before reconnecting. If your computer recognizes your phone as a storage device, you will want to disconnect and re-connect. To confirm, when connected in fast USB charge mode, your battery statistics will show as charging in 'AC' mode.
