Corruption is at its peak in Afghanistan and the contractors are making money at the cost of lives of millions of civilians in the country and the troops of US deployed there. The money aided to Afghanistan for its reconstruction and humanitarian development is restricted by some rich and powerful contractors. While Governments across the globe are trying to pull out the contested country from the difficult situation, contractors from Afghanistan and Pakistan are taking the advantage of conflict to procure US Defence contracts.Citing an example of a shrewd and dubious businessman Tony Abi Saab, an arms dealer who may be continues to supply weapons to Syrian rebels and other rebel group in war torn countries of the Middle East only for profit, and is not afraid of being caught.Tony was indicted after the success of Global sting operation done by CIA and US army in Afghanistan, where he was caught red-handed with cash enough evidence to proof he was a fraudster and a criminal who risked lives of several people across the globe just for his business profits. The accused was released after a few court trail and a fewer sum of money as penalty for his charges of fraud because of technicality in local court. There are several US Army contractors who are convicted of the charges of fraud and bribery. Eddie Pressley, a former US Army contracting official, was convicted of a bribery and money laundering charges for the contracts which supported Iran war on January 5, 2012. The federal court found Pressley guilty and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment and three years of supervised release following the prison term. Beside this, Pressley was fined USD 21 million and his real estates, several automobiles were being confiscated as per Court's order. But things are not same for non-Amercians like Tony as he walked out of jail claiming human rights violation, lack of evidence and still runs his illegal trade.
