Hairspring turns your device into a powerful mechanical watch timing machine. It measures the precision of mechanical watches, with an accuracy of at lease ±1s/day, by analyzing the tick-tock sound using the microphone of the device.
It supports a wide range of frequencies, covering almost all mechanical watches available on the market: - 14,400 VPH - 16,200 VPH - 18,000 VPH - 19,800 VPH - 21,600 VPH - 23,400 VPH - 25,200 VPH - 28,800 VPH - 36,000 VPH
In case you don't know your watch's frequency, you may use frequency auto detect.
The measuring time can be set from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, to get a balance between response time and accuracy.
An oscilloscope shows the audio waveform in real time. It's quite handy for monitoring the status and diagnosing some common problems.
The result is plotted in a chart, which can be saved for later reference. Also, it can record and save a long-time measurement, e.g. for 12 hours, to analyze the long-time performance of the watch.
To use Hairspring, just place the microphone tightly close to the watch back, then set the parameters. After collecting enough data, the result will be shown.

*** PLEASE NOTE *** - This is a Lite version of Hairspring, with the accuracy limited to 1 min/day.To get accuracy of 1 s/day, you need to upgrade to premium version, using in-app purchase.
- Hairspring requires a sensitive microphone. Make sure it works with your microphone before upgrading.
