Australia is a country of exceptional beauty and contrasts. It is the only nation to govern an entire continent and it is the sixth largest nation. While the Australian outback is sparsely populated, the cities on the shoreline pulsate with life. The climatic zones also contrast each other: dry deserts in the middle, moist tropical forests in the north and temperate zones in the coastal regions. Australias rich fauna offers an astonishing variety: elsewhere koala bears, kangaroos, platypuses and wombats can only to be found in zoos. The flora is as unique as the fauna. Enjoy it.
