Intercept Technology’s Impedance Calculator allows engineers specializing in the design and layout of printed circuit boards to calculate the total electrical impedance for the following transmission line types: Microstrip Embedded microstrip Edge-coupled microstrip Symmetric stripline Asymmetric stripline Broadside-coupled stripline Enter physical line values for dielectric height/thickness, wire width, wire thickness, relative dielectric constant and wire gap (if applicable) to calculate impedance. The calculator also determines wire width if the impedance is known. Additional information: The calculator displays the formula used for each transmission line type, if needed.
