Text summarizer or text summarization is condensing the source text into a shorter version preserving its information content and overall meaning. The rapid growth of the data in the internet has overloaded the user with enormous amounts of information which is more difficult to access huge volumes of documents. Automatic text summarization technique is an important activity in the analysis of high volume text documents. Laconic software presents a synopsis that is short, easy to read, and formatted specially for phones. Laconic performs text analysis using a remarkably fast combination of multivariate statistics and natural language processing. Laconic software generates a summary faster than it takes a user to load a webpage with its graphics.
Laconic software is technically built with four stages. In first stage, the system decomposes the given text into its constituent sentences. The second stage removes the stop words, stemming the text and applying lemmatization. Feature term identification is done in third stage. Finally each sentence is ranked depending on feature terms. This stage reduces the amount of the sentences in the summary in order to produce a qualitative summary. Text summarization methods can be classified into extractive and abstractive summarization. An extractive summarization method consists of selecting important sentences, paragraphs etc. from the original document and concatenating them into shorter form. The importance of sentences is decided based on statistical and linguistic features of sentences. An abstractive summarization method consists of understanding the original text and re-telling it in fewer words. It uses linguistic methods to examine and interpret the text and then to find the new concepts and expressions to best describe it by generating a new shorter text that conveys the most important information from the original text document.Our Laconic software uses abstractive summarization to give terse result of high volume data. The only thing user will have to do is to feed in the long data and the software will do the semantic analysis using the concept of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to give brief summary of input data. Laconic has its application in briefing online news, certain documents, and any long article you wish to read briefly along with quality reading.
Steps to summarize:
1)The user will either have to enter the text directly or may select txt file.2)Make sure that the entered text is spaced correctly otherwise it will result in absurd summary.3)Press on the summary button and enter number of lines to get the summary accordingly.4)You can share the generated summary.
