He is a central figure in the Hindu epic Ramayana and its various versions. As he is Chiranjeevi, he is also mentioned in several other texts, including Mahabharata, the various Puranas and some Jain texts. Vanara (monkey),Lord Hanuman participated in Rama's war against the demon king Ravana. Several texts also present him as an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He is the son of Anjana and Kesari, and is also described as the son of the wind-god Vayu, who according to several stories, played a role in his birth. Hanuman is a monkey god. He is a noble hero and great devotee of Lord Rama of the Ramayana. This deity is a provider of courage, hope, knowledge, intellect and devotion. He is pictured as a robust monkey holding a mace (gada) which is a sign of bravery and having a picture of Lord Rama tatooed on his chest which is a sign of his devotion to Lord Rama. He is also called Mahaveera (the great hero ) or Pavan-suta (son of air) or Bajarangbali. The Sanskrit texts mention several legends about how Hanuman got his name. One legend is that Indra, the king of the gods, struck Hanuman's jaw during his childhood (see below). The child received his name from the Sanskrit words Hanu ("jaw") and -man (or -mant, "prominent" or "disfigured"). The name thus means "one with prominent or disfigured jaw". Another theory says the name derives from the Sanskrit words Han ("killed" or "destroyed") and maana (pride); the name implies "one whose pride was destroyed".[2]:31–32 Some Jain texts mention that Hanuman spent his childhood on an island called Hanuruha, which is the origin of his name.[2]:189 According to another theory, the name "Hanuman" derives from the proto-Dravidian word for male monkey (ana-mandi), which was later Sanskritized to "Hanuman" (see historical development below). Linguistic variations of "Hanuman" include Hanumat, Anuman (Tamil), Hanumantha (Kannada), Hanumanthudu (Telugu), Anoman (Indonesian), Andoman (Malay) and Hunlaman (Lao). Other names of Hanuman include: * Anjaneya,[3] Anjaniputra, 'Anjaneyar (Tamil), Anjaneyudu (Telugu), Anjanisuta all meaning "the son of Anjana". * Kesari Nandan ("son of Kesari") * Marutinandan, Pavanputra, Vaataatmaja: "the son of the wind-god Vayu"; the deity who carried Hanuman to Anjana's womb * Bajrang Bali, "the strong one (bali), who had limbs (anga) as hard as a vajra (bajra)"; this name is widely used in rural North India.[2]:31–32 * Sang Kera Pemuja Dewa Rama, Hanuman, the Indonesian for "The mighty devotee ape of Rama, Hanuman" Chanting the hanuman mantras will bring joy, peace and money to the whole family. H or Ha or Han or Hanu or Hanuma Or Hanuman all leads to lord hanuman who is the destroyer of all evils in life. 1008 Names Of Hanuman हनुमानजी के १००८ नाम Shri Hanuman Kavach श्री हनुमान कवच Hanuman Mantra हनुमान मंत्र Shreeman Narayan Narayan Hari Hari श्रीमान नारायण नारायण हरी हरी Hanuman Mantra for Success हनुमान मंत्र फॉर सक्सेस Hanuman Chalisa हनुमान चालीसा 108 names of Hanuman हनुमानजी के १०८ नाम Shri Hanuman Stavan श्री हनुमान स्तवन Mangal Murti Maruti Nandan मंगल मूर्ति मारुती नंदन Aarti Hanumanlal Ki आरती हनुमनलाल की Shree Hanuman Vandana श्री हनुमान वंदना ”Marut nandan namo namah n Kasht bhanjan namo namah n Asur nikandan namo namah n Shri ram dhootam namo namah. n ”मरुत नंदन नमो नमः n कष्ट भंजन नमो नमः n असुर निकंदन नमो नमः n
