The AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method makes it possible to handle complex decision making situations in a well-structured way. The AHP divides the original problem into several easier sub-problems and emphasises the main characteristics of the problem. The alternatives are evaluated by all the characteristics one by one. The values are aggregated into a joint value function and the decision takes this aggregated function into account.
