Microsoft Security Essentials 1.0 is developed and published by Microsoft with the purpose of providing the users with an effective protection against viruses and spyware, including Trojans, worms and other malicious software. The application is easy to install, easy to use and any required updates or upgrades are being made automatically so the user always has the latest protection. However, even if it is free to use, the product will only integrate with genuine/non-pirated copies of Windows (passing Windows Genuine Advantage validation is mandatory). For the moment the application is only available to customers in the United States, Israel, People's Republic of China and Brazil.
