Ghalib born Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan, born on 27 December 1797, died 15 February 1869, was the preeminent Indian Urdu and Persian poet during the last years of the Mughal Empire. He used his pen-names of Ghalib and Asad. Ghalib ghazals are made famous by prominent musician and singer like Ghulam Ali Saheb and Jagjit Singh Ji.
