OptiTrans is the first integrated multi-modal journey planner for Athens and London, with many more cities to come. OptiTrans covers all urban public transport, including subway, bus, trolley, tram, suburban railway, taxis and of course walking! OptiTrans provides optimal solutions for combinatorial use of public transport from a point of departure to a destination and incorporates the use of GPS for automated setting of origin/destination point. It provides a detailed description of all intermediate stops along the route on the map or in text format. Optitrans has been developed by the Integrated Systems Laboratory of the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications in NCSR Demokritos.
