PDFGuard: This program is for authors who want to sell or distribute PDF files online. This program will encrypt your PDF format files. This includes an PDF viewer for displaying the document. Users cannot copy your files when used with ShareGuard. This program is ideal for authors who wish to sell books and/or technical information online. This program works, optionally, with ShareGuard to provide a lock and key system for selling your PDF. 2 Basic Components: PDFGuard Producer - allows you tailor your e-Book and to create your PDF document. PDFGuard Viewer - this program and the encrypted data is distributed. Only the PDFGuard Viewer can decrypt the document. 3 Basic Security Features: PDFGuard Viewer - the PDFGuard viewer program will decrypt your document in memory and display it to the user. The user, if you specify, cannot cut and paste, print or save or print the document. PDFGuard User Encryption - the PDFGuard encrypts your PDF so that only the specified viewer program will be able to decrypt your document and display it to the user. ShareGuard (optional) - the ShareGuard program will check the licensing of the PDF before allowing the program to run. If the user is not licensed then the PDF will not display your PDF contents. This program allows for marketing of books and/or upselling other products by providing addtional marketing screens and/or AdWare programs to run with the PDF document. This provides a turnkey system to sell PDF filese online and ensure that only 1 user can read the book. The PDFGuard along with ShareGuard will prevent users from copying your material or re-distributing the PDF. Only one user is authorized to use the PDFGUARD DOCUMENT PROTECTION on one computer at a time (and not by more than one individual via a network). 2) OTHER RESTRICTIONS: You acknowledge that you do not become the owner of the PDFGUARD DOCUMENT PROTECTION (software, programs and/or documentation). You agree not to transfer, rent,lease, sub-license, reverse engineer, modify, translate, or share the PDFGUARD DOCUMENT PROTECTION, diskettes, or manual with any other person or firm. 3) LIMITED WARRANTY: While we have attempted to ensure the reliability of the PDFGUARD DOCUMENT PROTECTION, ZAPPERSOFTWARE.COM cannot assume any liability for damage that occurs because of usage of this program, whether or not in accordance with the instructions or specifications. ZAPPERSOFTWARE.COM warrants the diskette media and manual to be free from defects in materials or manufacture for a period of 30 days from your receipt. When you open this package or use the PDFGUARD DOCUMENT PROTECTION you indicate you accept this as the only warranty. You agree that regardless of the form of any claim, ZAPPERSOFTWARE.COM's liability for any damages or loss to you or anyone else shall not exceed the price paid for use of the program. NO OTHER WARRANTIES.
