- What is NBA PER Calculator? PER stand for Player Efficiency Rating. It is a formula written by John Hollinger to depict a player s contributions (such as points, assist, rebounds, steals, blocks, etc ) all into one number. - You can calculate your favorite's player PER on a game by game basis and see how well they're really doing that game! - You can also see how well your game stand by calculating your own stat line! Save your stat line to improve your game! If you do not have a favorite team, you can set to the league's average and still determine your PER! - In the screenshots below, we'll be using Lebron James's average for the 2015-2016 season as an example. His average are as followed: Minutes: 35.6, 3Pointers: 1.1, FGM: 9.7, FGA: 18.6, FTM: 4.7, FTA: 6.5, Offensive Rebs: 1.5, Total Rebounds: 7.4, Assist: 6.8, Steals: 1.4, Blocks: 0.6, Turnovers: 3.3, Fouls: 1.9.
