The Synthesis Personality and Emotional Intelligence Test assesses your General Personality Factor (GPF) and Emotional Quotient (EQ). The test measures five dimensions of personality covering the Big Five factors, and six areas of emotional intelligence covering the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso ability model of emotional intelligence.
The app test requires you to indicate how far you agree with 48 statements about your behaviour and emotions. At the end of the test, you can choose whether to download and view your results or have them emailed to you. You need a network connection and a document reader to get your feedback report which comes in PDF format. The app stores your test responses and you do not need to do the test in one go.
Your results from the assessment are returned as sten scores, sten being an abbreviation for 'Standard Ten'. Your sten scores indicate your approximate position to other people in the Synthesis international comparison group-a group of 26,000 respondents between the ages of 16 and 65 from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa.
Personality and emotional intelligence assessments provide an insight into people's work styles and behaviour.
