Albums Photo Locker works by making a virtual album from a group of files on your hard disk. The images can be added to any album any number of times. They will not be copied physically, Photo Locker only keeps a reference to them from the albums that you create. Base Directory: Why ? The reason why you have to specify a 'base directory' is because Photo Locker works with relative directories. Your probably now wondering why on earth that is. Well that is simpel. This way you can move the albums anywhere, just adjust the base directory and you are done! But what if you want to put an album on a CD ? No swet, PhotoLocker has a commandline option to set the base directory to the current CDrom drive. for example photoalbum -cdrom e:cdromalbum.xml will set the base dir to e: and open PhotoLocker in the presentation mode. Probably if you are going to look at pictures for an audience you'll use the presentation mode. The presentation mode allows you to go thru the albums. Hotspots Photo Locker has a feature called hotspots, these are places on the photo that you define and name. For example you have a group of people in a photo and you want to mark them so you'll remember their names for years to come. This is a typical use of the hotspots.
