The Pune District Cricket Association is one of the largest and oldest cricket organizing bodies in India, currently led by Mr. Yashwanth Bhujbal. PDCA hosts several leagues throughout the year and has given birth to many of the top players in Cricket circles in India. PDCA (Pune District Cricket Association) has been established in 1957 and is affiliated to MCA (Maharashtra Cricket Association) which in turn is affiliated to the BCCI. The PDCA conducts more than 800 matches every year in which more than 3000 players participate. The prominent tournaments that are held under the aegis of PDCA include Sadu Shinde league, Summer league, Bhandarkar - Lele trophy, Kohinoor Karandak and Maharshi Karandak (interschool) and the Damodar Karandak (intercollegiate tournament).
