SafeIT E-mail Shredder for Outlook 2003 is a software application for permanently removing (shredding) old and deleted e-mails from your Outlook Personal Storage (.PST) file. Selected e-mails will be shredded along with all the unused space in your PST-file. This includes discarded e-mails, fragments of previously deleted e-mails and old attachments. The product is completely integrated in Microsoft Office and will enhance the way you work with Microsoft Outlook. When you use Microsoft Outlook your e-mails are automatically and consistently duplicated, left behind and hidden away. An e-mail can exist up to eight times in your PST-file and traces of old discarded e-mails can exist from the time you first created your Outlook file. In Microsoft Outlook; when you delete an e-mail, empty the Deleted Items folder, or even compress the PST-file, the information is NOT removed from your computer. These commands only alter the structure of the PST-file, leaving most of the data intact and recoverable with software tools easily available. This means that someone else can recreate old e-mails that you thought you have already deleted. SafeIT E-mail Shredder for Outlook 2003 will permanently remove an e-mail by overwriting its content a number of times with pre-defined data patterns. This will make recovery impossible, even with advanced software and hardware analysis tools. Because Microsoft Outlook creates multiple duplicates of a single e-mail simply shredding the selected e-mail is not enough. Therefore, when you select a single e-mail, all the unused space of your PST-file will be shredded. This is done to ensure that every trace of the e-mail is permanently removed - even the small fragments that are commonly scattered all through the PST-file. SafeIT E-mail Shredder currently supports 11 different algorithms ranging from 1 run up to 35 runs. This includes HMG Infosec Standard 5 (Baseline and Enhanced), DOD 5220.22-M and Peter Gutmann's algorithm.

SafeIT E-mail Shredder for Outlook 2003 Subscription License SUBSCRIPTION LICENSE AGREEMENT Electronic License Agreement For Final Users TO THE FINAL USER: This is a license agreement between you and SafeIT Security Sweden governing your use of the software SafeIT E-mail Shredder for Outlook 2003. By installing this software, you agree that you have read this license agreement, that you understand all parts of it and that you agree to be fully bound by its terms and conditions. This license agreement for final users from SafeIT Security Sweden is enclosed to the SafeIT E-mail Shredder for Outlook 2003 software and the electronical information material that comes to it ("the software"). The term "software" includes all upgrades, modified versions or updates of the software that SafeIT Security Sweden give you license to. This is a license agreement. SafeIT Security Sweden will therefore for all future be the owner of this copy of the software. When you accept this agreement SafeIT Security Sweden appropriates you a non-exclusive right to use the software during the chosen subscription period, provided that you accept the following: 1. USING THE SOFTWARE You are not allowed to further distribute any full version copies of the software. 2. COPYRIGHT - TRADEMARK The software is in the ownership of SafeIT Security Sweden and is protected by copyright law, international conventions and other applicable, national laws in the country where this software is used. The structure, edification and code of the software are all company secrets and confidential information that belong SafeIT Security Sweden. You are only allowed to use the trademarks to the extent that is in accordance with good practice concerning trademarks. That kind of use of trademark does not mean that you achieve any kind of right to the trademark. 3. LIMITATIONS You accept not to modify, adapt, translate or decompile, dismantle or in any other way try to take out the source code of the software. You also accept that the software can not be used unless you as a user hold a valid subscription to the software. 4. LIMITED LIABILITY SafeIT Security Sweden supplies you with the software in its existing condition without any guarantees of any kind. SafeIT Security Sweden does not guarantee and cannot guarantee the obligations or the results that you may achieve by using the software. Over and above the earlier mentioned limited obligations SafeIT Security Sweden gives you no further obligations or pledges, neither explicit nor implicit, concerning encroachment of rights, quality, or suitability for a certain purpose. In no cases will SafeIT Security Sweden be liable for any direct or indirect damages, loss of information or loss of profit or absence of saving, even if a representative of SafeIT Security Sweden should have been informed of the possibility of such damages, or for any claim from a third party. SafeIT Security Sweden will never be responsible for any delay regarding delivery of the software over the Internet. 5. CHOICE OF LAW, CHOICE OF LANGUAGE AND DISPUTE SOLUTION. 5.1 Interpretation of this agreement will be governed by the laws of Sweden, excluding (I) its conflict of laws principles, (ii) the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, (iii) the 1974 Convention on the Limitation Period in the International Sale of Goods and (iv) the Protocol amending the 1974 Convention, executed at Vienna April 11th, 1980. 5.2 To the full extent permitted by law, the controlling language of this agreement is English and any translation you might have received has been provided solely for your convenience. 5.3 Any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Act of the chamber of commerce in Stockholm Sweden. 6. OBLIGATIONS OF YOURS You agree to and are obliged to, according to this agreement, follow the laws of your country, or the country of your presence, concerning the use of, the import of or the export of encryption software for the commercial market.
