SearchMaestro is a powerful and robust desktop file search engine which can locate files across your network quickly and easily. You can save and load your search parameters for easy repetition of searches, and save your results to XML or CSV file format. You can share your parameter files with colleagues easily to save them time. You can search the contents of files with easy or pattern matching, using full regular expressions if you like. Take care of tedious tasks by automating searches across your network using the API (ActiveX COM), which builds upon the functionality in the graphical user interface, and allows you to create scripting files for repeated use and scheduling. You can either use a saved search, or create a new one dynamically. A fully commented VBScript example is included. You can retrieve detailed information about each file in an easy to understand format, and save the information to wherever you want. You can use the full parameter set to search each file's contents, and then save the results and parameters. SearchMaestro is tuned to the way you search, automatically saving all the files and folders that you have selected to search within. So after the first search you save time because a complete file list has already been created; SearchMaestro only needs to check each file and folder against the new or modified search parameters you have specified. You can add files and folders into SearchMaestro quickly and easily just by dropping them onto the SearchMaestro shortcut.

*********************************************************************** ************* SearchMaestro - End User Licence Agreement ************* *********************************************************************** This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or a single legal entity) and the developer ("Ulfwood Ltd") of the software ("SearchMaestro"). SearchMaestro may include accompanying software, files, data and materials. Ulfwood Ltd is a registered company of the United Kingdom, and governed by the laws of England and Wales. This EULA is valid, but grants the end-user rights ONLY if SearchMaestro has been licensed and fully paid for by visiting www.ulfwood.net or by any other method. By installing, copying, downloading, accessing or otherwise using SearchMaestro, you agree to be bound by the terms of this EULA. If you do not agree to the terms of this EULA, you may not use or copy SearchMaestro, and you should promptly delete it from all machines that you have installed it to. SearchMaestro Product Licence 1. Shareware This software program is distributed as shareware. The essence of shareware is to provide you with software that you get to "try before you buy", while rewarding the efforts of the developers. When you think about it, the opportunity to try before you buy is the ultimate guarantee of a products quality and usefulness to you. In fact, shareware can be just as professionally developed as software that comes in a fancy box (with a lot of hype and yet no way to determine issues such as the "look and feel", etc.), but the price of shareware can be set lower because it does not have to cover expensive marketing costs. Still, software businesses that market their products as shareware need to get paid for their efforts just as any other business. When you support the shareware concept, it ensures that the concept will continue to work and you will continue to get to "try before you buy". Installation There are absolutely no limitations as to how many machines you can install SearchMaestro on assuming that it is in its shareware, non-registered state. The registered version of SearchMaestro may be installed on as many machines as you wish, in as many locations as you wish, provided that the number of users does not exceed the number of licences bought. In other words, you may install SearchMaestro on one hundred machines with only one username and password for all of these installations, as long as only one person is using it. To allow five users to use SearchMaestro would require five licences. This type of licence is often referred to as a per user licence as opposed to a per seat licence. 3. Trial Period The trial period is 50 days from the date of first installation on the machine and is for evaluation purposes only. However, in order to allow full evaluation to occur, you may use the results that SearchMaestro creates for commercial or corporate purposes. After 50 days, you must either cease usage of SearchMaestro and uninstall it, or purchase a licence by going to www.ulfwood.net 4. Warranties SearchMaestro and all accompanying software, files, data and materials are provided as is and without warranties of any kind whether implied or explicit. Any liability on the part of Ulfwood Ltd or any of its staff is limited to a full refund of the price of the licence(s). In addition, no employees, contractors, subsidiaries or other members of Ulfwood Ltd will be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages whatsoever relating to the use of SearchMaestro, or to your relationship with Ulfwood Ltd. 5. Distribution You may freely distribute SearchMaestro in any way and by any media, with the following restrictions: a) You may only distribute the SearchMaestro setup file in its current form, as can be found at www.ulfwood.net/SearchMaestroSetup.exe without alteration or change in any way. Distribution of any part of SearchMaestro or its associated files is expressly forbidden unless it is contained within the unaltered SearchMaestroSetup.exe file as specified above. b) Any free distribution to consumers, customers, readers or any other individuals or entities excepting personal friends, acquaintances and colleagues requires notification to be sent to [email protected] In other words, distributing SearchMaestro for a commercial reason or with commercial intent requires notification even if no charge is made for SearchMaestro. This is simply intended to allow Ulfwood Ltd to track the usage and distribution of SearchMaestro, and in no way implies obligation of payment or any other kind of obligation to Ulfwood Ltd. c) You may not charge for the distribution of SearchMaestro nor for any other service or software package which includes SearchMaestro without prior written agreement by Ulfwood Ltd. 6. Disputes In the event of any dispute, SearchMaestro and this agreement are protected by the laws of England and Wales and the resolution of any dispute will be through the laws of England and Wales. 7. ActiveX COM Interface The functionality of the ActiveX interface, which can be harnessed using scripting technologies such as VBScript, JavaScript and others, is bound by the same licensing requirements as the graphical user interface is in section 2 above.
