Snipe is a technological product based on both hardware and software. It was developed to empower parents and help them regulate the use of Internet by their children. Snipeslider allows parents to use their own USB disk on a key and turn it in to a key for their computer. By inserting the USB-key, the computer is put in adult mode and is fully functional. The computer will function no differently than without the application. By taking the USB-key out, the computer automatically goes in to “child safe mode” and will allow the children to surf only to websites that have been O.K.ed by the parent. With Snipeslider, parents can also control the daily time of internet or computer usage. Once the daily internet time has been used, the internet will shut down.
