For developers distributing their code in human-readable form and wanting to protect their intellectual property, Snob is a freely configurable command-line tool for name obfuscation and comments removal. It allows different configurations for different programming languages and for different subdirectories of the project directory. Snob is free for in-house development; distribution of obfuscated code requires commercial license.
