VRfix injects 360 video metadata. When you edit 360 video files, also known as spherical video or equirectangular media, important metadata may not be preserved during the editing process. Without 360 video metadata, popular site likes YouTube and Facebook do not playback 360 degree video correctly. VRfix loads a 360 video file, reinjects video metadata, and saves the file to your device in the Photo Album at 720p resolution. VRfix creates a copy of your video to a VRfix album on your iOS device. When VRfix video metadata injection is completed a Giphy will be displayed with a precomposed Tweet. You can change the random Giphy value in the settings. VRfix does not upload your reinjected video to any social networks. If you use VRfix to prepare 360 video for YouTube upload, do so only using the YouTube iOS app to upload your reinjected video for publication. Other methods of upload invoke iOS compression which will not preserve the crucial metadata that YouTube demands for spherical playback. Once your metadata reinjected spherical video is published on YouTube, spherical playback may not be immediately available due to YouTube processing time. It can take up to 10-15 minutes in our experience until YouTube presents a spherical version of your video. More info in the FAQ from the app. Contact us via the Feedback tab in the app. Stay spherical.
