The Watershed Scientist Discovery App forms the data capture component of the Watershed Scientist Discovery Learning Experience developed by the Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA) for students in grades 6 through 12. With this app, students define a research site, collect data on water quality, and identify locations they think may contribute to pollution of their local watershed. On the Watershed Scientist Discovery Hub, they can then use these discoveries to complete standards-aligned learning activities and to develop and communicate strategies to protect, preserve, and enhance the watershed. For more information on the Watershed Scientist Discovery Learning Experience, please visit our website: crwa.org

The Watershed Scientist Discovery app also includes a data capture protocol for CRWA-trained volunteers that monitor the health of the Charles River and its watershed on a monthly basis. This data contributes to CRWA's field science program. If you are interested in learning more about our monitoring program, please contact us through our website at: crwa.org/field-science/monthly-monitoring.

The mission of the CRWA is to protect, preserve, and enhance the Charles River and its watershed through science, advocacy and the law. To learn more about our organization and the work we do, please visit our website: crwa.org.
