Curve Editor it's an easy to use and at the same time functional curve editor which can help you to make changes to any characteristics in time and get the result in a form of a RAW file containing the raster values of a built curve for each frame in a defined period of time. The program operates with the splines composed of cubic Bezier curves which are built by setting the control points and the following regulation of their characteristics in such a way that it could be possible to build a curve of almost any complexity. The built curve can be rasterized and you can receive a binary array of four-byte floating-point values the length of which is equal to the length of animation in frames. This means that each value in the array corresponds to the value in a specific frame of sprite animation and, therefore, it can be used directly in one's project in calculating the number of current frames depending on the time passed from the beginning of the animation and choosing the corresponding value in the data array. The working area represents a two-dimensional system of coordinate axes. On the horizontal axis there is a time scale in frames. The vertical axis has a scale of some values, the changing of which in time must be obtained. The utility allows setting the areas clipping the curve points to the minimum and maximum value of the y-axis and it also allows setting the length of animation in frames. Although this utility was designed for developers of casual games for sprite animation with different effects, the scope of its application is not limited to game development. This utility has been successfully used in other areas where it is necessary to get and to use pre-calculated values of curve points with exactly defined characteristics.
