The Media Player Codec Pack is a simple to install package of codecs/filters/splitters used for playing back music and movie files. After installation you will be able to play 99.9% of files on the internet. Formats supported include: SD, HD (1080p/i) UHD (4K) .hevc, .mkv in x265, x264. DivX and XviD in .avi, .divx, .ogm. Many other formats are also supported. Additional file associations are applied to make Windows Media Player play BDMV (unencrypted BluRay/AVCHD), EVO (unencrypted HD-DVD), MKV, HEVC, M2TS, MP4, VOB, OGM, WEBM, FLV, and NUV movie files, as well as AC3, DTS, FLAC, APE, OGG, WV, TTA, OFR, SHN music files, and finally MO3, IT, XM, S3M, MTM, MOD, and UMX tracker audio files. Compression types supported include AVC, H.264, x264, H.263, H.261, DivX, XviD, Flash Video, VP3-8, Morgan JPEG, MJPEG, MPEG4, MPEG2, along with many more. The package detects the best proof tested settings with additional options for CPU/GPU including Intel Quick Sync, Nvidia CUVID and DXVA. Audio options during install allow users to set output from basic 2.0 channel stereo, right up to 7.1 channel output. Digital audio S/PDIF / HDMI passthrough for home theatre systems can be set by the user to output Dolby Digital AC3, Dolby Digital Plus E-AC3, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS-HD, even multichannel non-AC3/DTS audio (for example 5.1 channel FLAC) can be set to encode as AC3 and output to digital S/PDIF, TOSLINK and HDMI. Included in the package are a number of encoder codec's, allowing you to encode files in your favourite encoding application. Please note that protected formats may require a specific player. 32-bit and 64-bit version of Windows Media Player are supported as well as most other players. The package supports 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows.

Media Player Codec Pack End User License Agreement (EULA) This End User License Agreement accompanies the Media Player Codec Pack and related explanatory materials ("Software"). The term "Software" also shall include any upgrades, modified versions or updates of the Software licensed to you by Cole Williams. Please read this Agreement carefully. At the end, you will be asked to accept this agreement and continue to install or, if you do not wish to accept this Agreement, to decline this agreement, in which case you will not be able to use the Software. Upon your acceptance of this Agreement, we grant to you a nonexclusive license to use the Software, provided that you agree to the following: 1. Use of the Software You may install the Software on a hard disk or other storage device and make backup copies of the Software. License to download and use this version of the Software is free of charge. 2. Uninstalling the Software You may uninstall this application using the Uninstall shortcut located within the application start menu folder. Alternatively, the application can be uninstalled through Add/Remove Programs or Programs located in Control Panel 3. Restrictions You agree not to modify, adapt, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the Software.
