Stardust Image Encoder 2003 is a suite of three powerful and time-saving tools, each designed to allow you to easily convert images into smaller high-quality formats. It offers real-time compression preview, batch processing, supports the latest state-of-the-art compression (including JPEG-2000), and more. It reads many image file formats, and writes to popular compressed formats. It is also the perfect companion to prepare images for use in Stardust Screen Saver Toolkit 2003. Image Encoder 2003 lets you fine-tune size and format settings for an image, with a full optimized preview of every transformation. You can save an optimized copy at any stage; your original image file is displayed at the same size as the optimized image, but is never actually modified. For image formats with less than 24-bit color, you can load and save color tables. Image Encoder 2003 Batch Wizard lets you encode multiple image files in a single operation. Use the settings from the main wizard to convert a set of image files to the same format and quality. You can save images in their original folders, or put all encoded images into the same destination folder. Image Encoder 2003 Command-Line Utility lets you encode one or more images from a command prompt, so you can incorporate image conversion into your batch files and scripts. Image Encoder reads 16 different file formats (BMP, JPG, J2K, JP2, JPC, PNG, GIF, PCX, PBM, PGM, PNM, PPM, PGX, RAS, TGA, TIF) and writes any of 4 different compressed file formats (JPG, J2K, PNG, GIF).
