WebShifter is a web based and WAP enabled scheduler for analog, digital and satellite TV recording with integrated EPG and filemanager. It allows you to manage your TV recordings using a web browser on any PC or mobile device, at home or anywhere in the world. A major drawback of most recording software is that you need to be at home to schedule the recording of a TV program. WebShifter adds a new dimension to existing recording software. It allows you to manage your recording schedule using any internet connection and a web browser or mobile device. WebShifter was originally built to provide a web interface for ShowShifter (hence the name WebShifter). At this moment, WebShifter supports many recording software solutions, including Virtual VCR, WinTVCap, WinTV 2000, ChrisTV, iuVCR, MyTheatre, DABDig, Fly 2000 TV and any command line based recording software. The main features of WebShifter are: - Manage recordings worldwide using a web browser - Schedule new recordings with a mobile phone (WAP) - Integrated Electronic Program guide (EPG) - Automatic scheduling based on search criteria in the EPG - File browser - Password protected access Support is also planned for additonal recording software like MediaPortal, Media Center and others.
