On Your Radar is a practical application which quickly displays animated weather radar and current conditions around you. Interested in weather elsewhere? Simply press the voice button and tell us where you want to see, or type in your location of interest.
Our app is built for the real world. Unlike the competition, On Your Radar will not lock up if you lose reception. As soon as you are back online, the latest radar will automatically appear.
On Your Radar shows weather radar in the United States, including all 50 states, and Puerto Rico, Guam and areas of Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean that border the U.S. Our app supplies you with the same radar which the government and corporations use to make mission critical decisions.
Specifically, On Your Radar provides National Weather Service (NWS) Enhanced Radar "Base" (N0R) images from the NOAA WSR-88D NEXRAD Radar sites located around the United States. Radar images are downloaded directly from NWS servers so you are always getting the most recent updates.
The map can be interacted with directly through touch via pinch/zoom and pan control. You can also select specific radar scans via the radar timeline.
